Basic bed for the night

The location was great, just round the corner from the lovely area around the university. I was only there for one night so it was fine for that purpose. If you’re looking for a simple bed to sleep in and you’re not looking for luxury it will do. Price great too.

Walking into the small room was like walking into an oven. Granted it was a hot day but it was unbearable through the night. Without the fan provided it would’ve been a nightmare. Mould on the walls near the window and window frame and in the bathroom. Very basic facilities and the shower is ridiculous. I appreciate it’s an old building but it really needs updating inside. Very loud in the night, needed my earplugs. Buy new sheets, they should never have permanent stains on them!

Bed was very uncomfortable and Room was very dated. The bathroom was also quite smelly.

Great location. Decent place.

Excellent location. Beautiful interior staircase. Great private room on the top floor. Fan in the room was much appreciated because it was hot in Porto.

There is only one shower for the whole building. Guests aren't supposed to dry clothes in the rooms but do not have access to the drying room. Street noise can be noisy till late at night.

The room had all the basics needed Affordable price Good localization Ok for one night if you only need a place to sleep

The bathroom has a very small shower. No socket by the bed. Thin walls - you can hear every sound outside the room - in the corridor or on the street. The room was fine but didn't really feel clean.

Very good location in the centre of Porto with friendly staff.

Should be more cleaner there was some dirtyness in the room. In the night there was a noise because of nearby restaurants.

The location is exceptional, really in the city center. The room was very clean, and the private bathroom was good. Excellent place to stay for a few nights to get to know Porto.

The location is great: close to cafés and restaurants, public transportations, and at walking distance of some churches and museums. The kindness and disponibility of the staff ( we could borrow a kettle and 2 mugs to make some tea )

For short stay without luggage this hostel is good, but nothing more

Very good location, polite and helpful staff.

The absence of lift ( we live on the 4th floor, so it’s rather hard to go there with the big luggage) Unpaired bedding with synthetic composition Lack of light in the bathroom, and it is inconvenient to have a bath not on the same floor as the living room.

Convenient for youngsters and party people.

The receptionist was extremely nice and helpful, I appreciate that a lot. I stayed only for a night as I needed a transit accomodation before my flight. I chose the place because I needed some rest in a private room, also due to the closeness to the night bus' stop that I needed to go to the airport. My overall experience was fine for such a short and specific visit. The location is definitely a plus for people how want to party.

The pictures capture a bit different vibe than reality. I was a bit shocked how small and outdated the room and the private bathroom was. In the end I don't mind the "retro" feeling. I was just not expecting such a time travel. :) My biggest issue was the paper thin wall between me and the next room. I was lucky as the neighbors, after they return to their room around 11:30pm, went bed in a half an hour. But until then I could hear every word and all the (nice) laughs. However, I had to wake up at 3:30am, so in the end I couldn't relax that much that I planned.

thank you for a soundproof window

The location is great. lots of bars, restaurants near the hotel. but the best part is soundproof window. not a single sound came through this window.

the room is too small, not really comfortable bed. but it’s enough for a short stay.
